Our guide took us to the Hunan Museum of Embroidery today. Hunan is famous for this amazing art form and even did an embroidery of President and Mrs. Bush and their girls that hangs in the White House. These huge prints are not painted...all embroidery! Our guide took us afterwards to a back ally where they sell the prints for much less. We were able to get a piece to hang in our home and some things for Ashley when she gets older. This is the real China...

Flynts -
Love the pics of your sweet girl! Your change in flight completely lifted our spirits today. I love that you are doing so much touring. We did our first sightseeing trip with our guide today to the zoo. Chloe is definately ready for some time with Avery. Scott and I are ready for some laughter, stories and jokes in English. E - are you ready to do some shopping?
Wow those are stunning, what talent! I cant even stitch in a straight line!
From a photographer's vantage...that picture of them women working in line on the embroidery is stellar! Great depth of field and it tells such a story.
Nice work! :)
I'm not a photog like Tammi, but that pic stood out to me too. Great job! I so want a camera like yours! Love it!
Oh Em, I just love hearing about your trip! Ashley is so precious and it is wonderful to see her smiling. I'm so glad you got to snuggle her in bed. How sweet!
Hi Avery! Hang in there girl...you'll be home before you know it! You'll be so proud to show people your pictures and to tell them all about your travels, so enjoy your trip while you're still there! I'm sure you are still being such a blessing and a help to your mom and dad. Have fun!
Emily,
Oh I am soooo jealous, our guide did not take us to the alley shop and so I didn't get any of the pieces becuase they were so pricey! :) Looks like everything is going well - one more day until you are in Guanghzou with everyone. Hang in there.
